Our Space

Our facility

CNS is located in Cayuga Heights within a half-mile of Cornell University. We are on a TCAT bus route and many of our families choose to walk or bike. We occupy the lower level of the First Congregational Church, on a quiet street in a residential neighborhood. Our building and outdoor play space are far from any road.

Our Classrooms

CNS is made up of three classrooms: The Nest, The Nook, and The Roost. Our classrooms are spacious, bright, and set up in ‘learning centers’ for free exploration. Learning centers include: Block building Center, Dramatic Play, Table Games, Art Center, Writing Center, Science Center, Sensory Table, and the Library.

Gross Motor Spaces

CNS has both an outdoor and indoor gross motor play space. Our playground is shady and fenced. It includes a large sandbox, climbing structures, swings, a mud kitchen, and a variety of toys and tools.

Our 'bike room' is a great gym space for rainy or very cold days. It is a large open space where kids can bounce on trampolines, roll on mats, ride a variety of bikes and scooters or just run their wiggles out!
