CNS is located in Cayuga Heights within a half-mile of Cornell University. It is on a TCAT bus route. We're in the lower level of the First Congregational Church, on a quiet street in a quiet neighborhood. Our building and shady fenced playground –– with a new climbing structure, giant sandbox, swings, and riding toys –– are far from any road.
Our main classroom has centers for free exploration of art and music; for block building, puzzles and games, and make-believe play; and for quiet reading and writing. Children can explore in our math and science area. The "climbing room" (indoor jungle gym) provides ample opportunity for energetic play and our "bike room" is a large open space where kids can hop on a wide variety of ride-on vehicles and participate in other gross motor activities on rainy days.
